The Company

REFRACTARIA, SA spreads over an area of 63.000m2 of which 21.500 m2 are built-up.

The production capacity can reach 30.000 mt per year of both shaped and unshaped products.

The company has large facilities, suitable for the manufacture of refractory materials: raw material processing machinery, dosage, weighing and mixing, extruders, hydraulic and pneumatic presses, drying places, tunnel kilns and thermal treatment kilns, a whole plant for manufacturing unshaped and prefabricated products.

 

Other services and departments worth mentioning are:

• Assembly shop, mould making and general maintenance, fully equipped with the suitable machinery.

• Department of quality and environment , responsible for developing the Quality Assurance System within the ISO 9001:2008 and the implementation of the ISO 14000 requirements.

• Quality Control Laboratory, well-equipped to carry out the control of raw materials as well as products in process and already finished.

It is also implemented with a close collaboration with ITMA Materials Technology, of which Refractaria is a founding member, to make non-conventional control tests, descriptions of new materials and R&D&I projects. 

Sales offices in Bilbao and Valencia as well as a network of international agents.
