Refractaria has taken part in the Project "INTEGRAR-RSE", “Integration of the social business responsibility in the management systems of the Asturian organisations” coordinated by the Asturian Club of Quality and co- financed by the Ministry of Industry , Tourism and Commerce MITYC within the framework of the call for aids RSE –PYME 2010.
12-07-2010 Inauguration of the repair of the tunnel kiln.
Refractaria has inaugurated the repair done in one of its two tunnel kilns, what improves its energy efficiency and increases its firing capacity up to 1600º. Within ‘the modernisation plan’ in our installations, that we have been doing for the past 10 years, we have made a great repair in one of our tunnel kilns. This work will allow us to reduce our CO2 emissions and costs of production, in accordance with our commitment of improvement with both clients and environment and will give us the opportunity to make new special products, given that the temperature can reach 1600 º what will make it possible for us to open new markets Together with this investment, carried out despite the world crisis, we should mention the construction of a new automatic plant in 2008, where we make both concretes and mixings for shaped products in a completely automatic way. Refractaria wants to follow this policy of investment in productivity and quality in order to extend our international market leadership.
01-01-2010 New branch opening in America
Refractaria, within its international expansion strategy, has just opened a new office in Mexico City to cover all American market. To carry out this project, Refractaria has recruited American professionals with a wide experience in refractory applications. This fact, together with our well-known products, allows us to offer a great service to all our American clients. This step in America is linked to our work to create commercial relationships in North Africa, Middle East and Asia, besides Europe, which is already consolidated.
